Front Disk Brakes
Geers Engineering is the Leader in Disk Brake Technology! We use a directional steel rotor from Strange Engineering. The one piece design is far superior than others. We also use Strange calipers which are lightweight aluminum and come with stainless steel pistons. Our kits use an application specific front caliper unlike other kits on the market that adapt rear calipers.
Geers Engineering provides a billet 7075 directional brake hub for use with Link Pin dropped disc brake spindles. These hubs are set up for the Chevy 5 on 4 ¾" or 5 x 130mm Porsche pattern and come with 14mm press in Sway Away studs, not 1/2" allen bolts. Complete with bearings and seals.
Chevy pattern for use with the Bogart, Erco and other brands of racing wheels. These come with ball seat lugs.

Crankshaft
All of SCAT's flange crankshafts are 100% American machined and ground to exacting tolerances, magnafluxed, dynamically balanced, micropolished and most importantly ready to install.
These flanged crankshafts are made from only the finest virgin steel billets. Each billet is forged into the shape of a VW crankshaft by a series of 12 operations using multi-cavity dies for maximum grain flow, combined with a 3-step heat-treating process, result in the strongest forging available anywhere. All cranks are nitrated which is a special surface hardening treatment for added strength and extended bearing life.

MSD Ignition Crank Trigger Distributor
MSD Ignition Crank Trigger distributors are designed for racing engines that use a crankshaft triggered ignition. Their low profile lets them fit in tight quarters and still accurately deliver the sparks. Built around a CNC-machined billet aluminum housing. Inside the housing, a sealed ball bearing. The base of the low profile distributors are injection molded from a glass reinforced material called Rynite. This produces an extremely strong base that dampens vibrations and is highly resistant to sparks. A large low profile distributor cap with brass terminals clamps onto the housing covering the racing rotor featuring deep vanes to stir up the air reducing the chance of spark scatter. Since these distributors are for racing applications.

Pushrods
Our Chromoly Push Rods are manufactured from 4130 3/8" tubing. These pushrods provide 140,000 psi tensile strength. The push rod tips are CNC machined from high impact, wear resistant 8620 barstock, case hardened, cryogenically treated and tempered. Overall pushrod length is 12" tip to tip and can be cut to any length. All pushrod kits ship with one end uninstalled.
